#EclipseQuestWPMS is not your average scavenger hunt; it’s an immersive journey that perfectly aligns with the awe-inspiring Great American Solar Eclipse. This annual eclipse event draws skywatchers and adventure seekers from all corners of the globe, and now, you have the chance to be part of this cosmic phenomenon like never before.
🌑 The Great American Solar Eclipse
Ely, Nevada, is known for being one of the prime viewing locations for The Great American Solar Eclipse. As the moon’s shadow sweeps across the sun, turning day into twilight, you’ll compete against fellow participants to solve intriguing riddles and complete thrilling challenges through town.

EclipseQuestWPMS Rules
Two Winning Categories
Eclipse Explorers. You must complete the entire scavenger hunt to be eligible for prizes. If more than one winning entry is received, we will randomly draw a winner/s from all eligible entries.
Solar Seekers. This category is for those who want fun and may not have the time to complete the scavenger hunt. To be eligible, you must complete a minimum of 10 items. If more than one winning entry is received, we will randomly draw a winner from all eligible entries.
When submitting your entry, indicate your category (Eclipse Explorers or Solar Seekers).
All participants must provide an email address, as this is how we will contact winners.
Participants can work as a single or as a team.
Registration: All participants must register at one of our registration locations. White Pine Museum, Sportsworld, Economy Drug, or This & That
Event Dates: The scavenger hunt will occur from October 5-19, 2023.
Submission Deadline: All entries must be submitted by Friday, October 20, 2023.
Clues and Challenges: Participants will receive a list of clues and challenges leading to various downtown Ely locations.
Submission of Photos: For photo challenges, participants must take clear and recognizable photos per the challenge description.
Photos should be submitted electronically via the email address WhitePineMainStreet@gmail.com, and the team or individual name must be included in the email’s subject line.
Social Media Interaction: Participants are encouraged to share their scavenger hunt experiences on social media using the event’s official hashtag #EclipseQuestWPMS. We ask that photos that reveal a ‘riddle’ location not be shared until after October 19, 2023.
Respect for Locations: Participants must respect all public and private properties while completing challenges.
No damage, disruption, or defacement of property is allowed.
Safety and Compliance: Participants must adhere to all local laws, rules, and regulations.
Ensure safety at all times during the event. Do not engage in any activity that puts participants or others at risk.
Completion Time: The scavenger hunt must be completed within the specified event dates. All entries must be submitted to one of the registration locations by Friday, October 20, 2023. Late submissions will not be considered.
Awards and Prizes: Prizes will be awarded to the top completing teams or participants. If we receive multiple winners, one random winner will be drawn from all eligible winners received.
Winners will be announced on the White Pine Main Streets Facebook page, and winners will be notified via email.
Prizes will be awarded to winners in both categories, Eclipse Explorers and Solar Seekers.
Event Organizers’ Decisions: The decisions of the event organizers and judges are final in all matters related to the scavenger hunt.
Liability: Participants acknowledge that they are participating at their own risk and hold event organizers harmless from any liabilities.
Event Modifications: The event organizers reserve the right to modify the event, rules, or challenges at their discretion. Please visit our website whtiepinemainstreet.com, for complete details and rules.
By participating in the scavenger hunt, you agree that your submitted entries may be shared on the EclipseQuestWPMS website and social media platforms.
